Water-based fight confirmed[UPDATED] It has been confirmed you will fight alongside Navy SEALS in water-based Special Ops missions. Last night Infinity Ward flew over to New York to show Modern Warfare 2 to the press and answer some of the long awaited questions. Kotaku was one of the lucky ones with a press pass. Special Ops (specops)By now everyone should know what Special Ops is, an new special gameplay experience where you will replay special crafted and very fast paced missions much like the "Mile High Club" epilogue in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare — this is Infinity Wards answer to the much requested co-op mode that didn't work out for the singleplayer campaign. The total length of the singleplayer campaign have not been confirmed yet, though it has been confirmed that Special Ops will be around the same length (probably 6-10 hours)! Robert Bowling –community manager at Infinity Ward– confirmed a water-based fight alongside Navy SEALS, a snowmobile race and a fight against a rush of 50 enemies. In earlier magazines they already talked about a turret that will be available in specops. Special Ops is getting more interesting by the minute! Discuss Special Ops on our forums: Call of Duty tagThanks for all the emails pointing out there is no Call of Duty tag on the hardened edition and the prestige edition. When asked about it in the press meeting Robert confirmed it is on the standard edition but not on the hardened edition and the prestige edition. The "Call of Duty" name doesn't appear in the game either, not in the demo gameplay material we've seen and not in the developer builds Infinity Ward is working on as we speak. In short, still no real reason has been given for this strange change of heart.
