TAR-21 w/ thermal sights

Soap used the sights in the "Cliffhanger" mission to provide thermal overwatch but now it's confirmed you can use them too.

In an interview with Videogamer.com Robert Bowling was asked about his favorite weapon in Modern Warfare 2. Robert replied with the TAR-21, a new Israeli 21st century assault rifle that will make it's debut in MW2 when it will be released November 10th, 2009. Robert:

"We have the TAR-21, which is my personal favorite weapon, and we have a lot of cool new attachments to that. With the thermal sight on it it’s really awesome".

There you go, confirmation on the TAR-21 with possibilities to attach thermal sights to it!

Franchise

When asked if Modern Warfare will become a two-year franchise, Robert was a bit reluctant in his answer:

"Right now we’re just focused on Modern Warfare 2 and we want to make that game and we want to do a lot of community support after it launches. [..] We want to do this and we want to support our community after it comes out and do some map packs."

That being said, the day after the release of CoD4: Modern Warfare Infinity Ward started working at Modern Warfare 2. And if Modern Warfare 2 will sell as good as CoD4:MW (probably even better), why wouldn't they? Just as a reminder, the map packs will be Xbox 360 only for a LIMITED TIME. We've been getting a couple questions about this subject but unfortunately we don't know how long this will be. Infinity Ward says they're giving equal love to every platform though it looks like Microsoft's big wallet says otherwise. 

Multiplayer

Infinity Ward still isn't talking about the multiplayer in Modern Warfare 2. When talking about the Game of the Year 2008, people tend to get pretty demanding when it comes to multiplayer. Just scroll down and read a couple of comments on Infinity Ward's Live Twitter Feed and we're sure you will find almost only multiplayer related comments. For now we'll just have to wait and see when it happens...

"We’re not going into detail on multiplayer yet, but once we do it’s going to be like a floodgate opened up."
