Live gameplay on E3!
7 Minutes of live gameplay footage at the E3, The Electronic Entertainment Expo, is a yearly video game expo and conference. The E3 holds press conferences with all the leaders in the gaming industry.Sony, Nintendo, EA, Ubisoft starting of with Microsoft. Besides showing us 10 world premieres in gaming, Infinity Ward had a couple of minutes LIVE Modern Warfare 2 (onstage!) gameplay. Until better screenshots are available you will have to do with this!
Jason West and Vince Zampella are called on stage. Exclusive: They're pleased to announce that Infinity Ward and Activision will release two Modern warfare 2 map packs first on Xbox LIVE (PS3 and PC will have to wait). Jason West is standing on stage with a controller in his hands, it's GO time! We see Cpt. 'Soap' MacTavish climbing a ice wall asking you to follow. Seems we're witnessing the first couple of minutes of the second day in Modern Warfare 2, set to be released on November 10th, 2009.
While climbing a big wall of ice, the wind is trying to pull you off but you hold on the icepicks hard. Above you ice breaking of, Cpt. MacTavish nearly falls to death. You can climb the ice wall by alternating triggers. Once on the top you have to follow Cpt. MacTavish into a big leap into nothing. When you don't make the jump Cpt. MacTavish helps you up. You're handed a weapon with red dot sight and a heartbeat scanner attached. You've been told that the enemy will not see you until you're very close, the heartbeat scanner will allow you to have the advantage on them. It's all very very misty and snowy. While running over a runway you've been told there is activity on the runway and you should make way towards the fuel station. After a couple engagements with the enemy you jump down an snowy hill, accomplished with Cpt. MacTavish. Seconds later he hits an enemy on a snowmobile with the icepick as seen in the promo trailer. You both take the snowmobile and make a run for it, that's the end of it! The end of the first Modern Warfare 2 gameplay!
