Roach is Soap, say what?[UPDATED] Some of our frequent visitors had the keen eye to link "our" picture of Roach to Soap which makes sense... At first we were skeptical because the images are so much not-alike, but after taking Photoshop for a drive we ended up with this: See? When you move your mouse over the image you can clearly see a scar on his right eye. Though we had to mirror the snowy picture to line the scar up, it looks pretty convincing. All the emails we received doubting this image with the Roach's ID were right! It wouldn't make sense if Infinity Ward modeled a complete detailed character when you never actually see him (being in first person and all...). Thanks for the heads up @poomafucka and Tori! [UPDATE] @Ponticello51 might be right and this could be a mighty big coincidence. Had to mirror the image to compare it and when you look at his neck (red), there is something missing... Lack of news is finally got us mad crazy! Traffic and dollars On another note, when we first started this Modern Warfare 2 website we had no idea how big this could get just a few weeks/months in... Ever since the magazine was released the number of visitors kept growing and now it has forced us to start looking for a new hosting provider. The current provider only allows 30Gb of data traffic a month which is not a lot. Last month we ended up with a total of 65Gb, this month we will be crossing that 30Gb line in T-minus 3-2-1-NOW. That's right, even without the traffic of the magazine downloads (thanks mirrors!) we crossed the line 23 days early! This means we will have to pay up again (like last month), €1.20/$1.50 per Gb.... Don't worry, it'll be taken care off for this month too, but: we want to keep the website as clean as possible so ads and banners are simple out of the question. We've already contacted several new hosting providers that will allow the website to run with unlimited data traffic. Understand, we do this for "fun" too and we don't have to make money of this website but putting up with a pretty steep monthly cost doesn't do anyone good. We still have big plans for this website and we WILL keep this website online even long after release. Just wanted to let you know how things are going on this side of the line. ForumsYes, we are thinking about it. Oh well, those are the reasons why not to put up MW24/7 forums... BUT, we've been asked so many times that we're actually thinking about it. Who knows, it could be here when you come back soon! |
