Infinity Ward Lives On

Infinity Ward Lives On

IW working on second downloadable content and an unannounced project.

We know what you're thinking, more talk regarding the Infinity Ward v Activision debate, right?
Well hopefully this will be the last, for a while at least.

During Thursdays quarterly earnings call, Activision spoke about the current situation regarding Infinity Ward and Call of Duty.
They stated that Infinity Ward have started working on a new unannounced project (likely Modern Warfare 3) and that the second Modern Warfare DLC would arrive in late 2010.
This tells us that Infinity Ward will remain open, contrary to what has previously been predicted.

We wish we could have convinced them to stay. The decision was not made lightly. We felt we had no choice but to terminate the executives I considered them friends, and their conduct was a breach of our friendship ~ Bobby Kotick, Activision CEO.

What do you think of this? Are you excited by the prospect of Infinity Ward staying open? Do you think that the second Modern Warfare 2 DLC should arrive sooner? Let us know via our forums ».

Stimulus Package maps added to all PS3 playlists

A tweet » from Robert Bowling states that the Stimulus Package maps have now been added to all playlists on the PS3. This is very convenient for those that wish to play the new maps on specific game modes, such as Free For All, rather than the default Stimulus Playlists.
