GAME for Good & Javelin Glitch[UPDATED] Javelin glitch much? Plus, this weekend you can help raise money for 'War Child' with GAME for Good in the UK! GlitchesAlmost a month since Modern Warfare 2 was released and many glitches have already surfaced across the game. One of the most noticeable glitches that has been discovered, labeled as 'the Javelin Glitch', is soon to be patched. This glitch allows players to set off a Javelin or other launchers automatically upon being killed, causing death to surrounding enemies. Luckily a patch is in the works and will soon face certification from Microsoft and Sony. It will also go LIVE on PC as soon as testing is complete and successful.
This may seem a pretty cool and fun glitch but I should warn you that you may face the wrath of the Xbox LIVE ban-hammer if you do it. @Stepto, Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox LIVE, has stated that if your caught doing this glitch then you face being banned. The ban could last for 24 hours up to 2 weeks depending on how many times you repeat the glitch.
For other possible glitches and problems within the game stay tuned for the first major Title Update coming soon.
It's still not clear whether the Javelin glitch patch will too be a part of the first Title Update or whether it will be it's own patch. We're not fans at all, but if you want to have some fun with it (in private matches of course!), you can view the video tutorial by WhatEverHD on Youtube here » Again, please be a sport and don't do this in ranked matches! [UPDATE] More information on the coming patches for both consoles and PC:
GAME For GoodThere will be a GAME For Good event this weekend on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December. All you UK players out there have to do is play Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox LIVE during this time and you'll be raising money for the 'War Child' charity. Based on UK Xbox LIVE player stats, the more UK gamers that play means the more money than Activision donates to the charity.
Thanks Boyle111 for helping out MW24/7! Modern Warfare 24/7 updates?!We get lots of emails asking what happened to this website. The frontpage isn't updated as much as we would all like it to be, this is all due to some (deserved?) time off, playing the game and real life situations. It's good to see we still have many loyal visitors each day as we're still within the top 4,000 sites in the US (acoording to Alexa.com »). THANKS everyone, I still have so much fun working with this great community, on our forums and everyone all around the net and I will not stop working on the site for months/years to come - I promise! Even started working a nice little MW2 project that might interest you, it will be announced soon. For those that don't follow me on twitter (@Neejoh »), the last couple of days I've been updating the » Special Ops pages. No where near done (10 of 23), but it will be soon! Again, thanks for all your concerns and keep » submitting news if you see anything worth writing about! |
