Full Game Informers exclusive leaked
The last 5 pages are released, making it a total of 10 pages! Less icy, more sandy!
Head over to the Game Informers gallery to view the total of 10 scanned pages packed with world exclusive news on Modern Warfare 2. Things that we think needs attention: - Riot shields will be available in The Special Forces gametype, we've not been told about the singleplayer campaign.
- Both triggers will be used on the consoles to climb a iceberg
- Infinity Ward is going to implement an accomplishment system to make the players famous
- Consoles will run at 60fps (just like Call of Duty 4)
- Multiplayer will get a "live-patching" system to update spawn positions (and other non major updates) without having to put out a full blown patch.
- No storyline co-op. multiplayer will have splitscreen just like CoD4
- No singleplayer leveling like in the multiplayer in CoD4:MW
- MacTavish a.k.a. Soap (CoD4) will be back as NPC
- "Any good story is on rails" says Jason West -- good point...
- The infinity spawn points and invisible line we all hated in the Call of Duty series is being worked on
- Singleplayer storyline will be around 6 - 10 hours long
- Next to the singleplayer there will be another option in the main screen that will be a major part of the game: The Special Forces. This will be a new gametype much like the awesome (and terrifying difficult on veteran) Mile High Club epiloque on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The Special Forces gametype will hold all the missions that don't fit into the singleplayer storyline. They can't say how much episodes it will hold because Infinity Ward is still working hard om them.
