Derail

The location of Derail is on a train derailment hence the name, it's thought to be located in Northern Russia. The map is coated in a heavy layer of snow, there are a number of large buildings and warehouses where the players are involved in heavy fire-fights. There is also a large forest located to the north-east, there is no cover around this place apart from a log-cabin which would provided little relief from a heavy fire-fight. To the north-west there is a large ware-house that has 3 levels which makes it perfect for sniping. To the south-east is another large structure which is perfect for counter sniping people that run into the office block located in the middle of the map. To the south-west of the map is another forest and a power station, this is the location for many flankers and unfortunately "Nuke-Booster". This map is the largest on Modern Warfare 2, it's perfect for Sniping but there can be many close quarter battles located in the office blocks. — Captain Hughes
